LinkedIn Post Formatter is a browser extension that adds formatting tools to LinkedIn's post editor. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we access and how we handle it.

We do not collect any personal data. The extension does not track you, send analytics, or communicate with any external servers.

Data We Access

The extension accesses the following data solely to provide its functionality:

• LinkedIn post editor content — The extension reads and modifies text in the LinkedIn post editor to apply formatting. This content never leaves your browser.
• Extension preferences — Your toolbar settings (e.g., whether markdown shortcuts are enabled) are stored locally using Chrome's storage API. These preferences are synced across your Chrome browsers if you are signed in to Chrome, using Google's built-in sync infrastructure.

Data We Store

The only data stored is your extension preferences (toolbar settings). This is stored using chrome.storage.sync and remains under your control. No data is stored on our servers because we do not operate any servers.

Third-Party Services

This extension does not use any third-party services, analytics tools, or tracking scripts. It does not make any network requests.

Permissions

The extension requires the following permissions:

• storage — To save your toolbar preferences locally.
• Host permission (linkedin.com) — To inject the formatting toolbar into LinkedIn's post editor.
